Elevated Green Beans
This very simple quick and easy side dish is very popular in my family.

Servings 4 people
Ingredients
- 2 cans green beans or cut fresh beans – cooked
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 1 stick butter
Instructions
- In saucepan or microwave add butter and almondsto melt. Cook, stirring often, untilalmonds are scalded. NOTE: the almondscontinue to cook for a few minutes after you stop cooking them so remove fromheat before they are burned. The secretto this recipe is the scalded, but not burned, flavor of the almonds.
- Add almond mixture to drained or cooked greenbeans.
- Heat green beans through on stove top ormicrowave.
Notes
Serve: Warm
Garnish: Sliced almonds
